Sony has recently announced that its PlayStation Network online gaming service and Qriocity music/video-on-demand services are set to be rebranded under its umbrella 'Sony Entertainment Network' or 'SEN' title. "This transition [from separate accounts in PSN and Qriocity to one unified SEN login] is based on Sony's goal to enhance its unique digital entertainment offering. As a series of these activities Sony started last September, PlayStation Network will be aligned with Sony Entertainment Network... This helps us get closer to our goal of establishing a global comprehensive network platform of services across games, movies, music and more, all accessible from one convenient account."

In a nutshell, the SEN will:
- Change PSN logins and accounts to universal SEN (Sony Entertainment Network) accounts
- Qriocity will disappear as a brand and be rebranded into two separate products, Video Unlimited and Music Unlimited
- The PSN interface and service will operate as normal, with the SEN logo and banner instead of the PSN logo and banner
- The SEN will have a single login, meaning current PSN users will instantly be able to use Music/Video Unlimited without signing up, and current Qriocity customers will instantly be able to access and login to the SEN (PlayStation) Network.
In my opinion, it's good to see Sony stepping up their brand recognition and offering with this new network, but I think they've got to be a little more creative with the naming- Sony Music Entertainment, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Sony Computer Entertainment, Sony Entertainment Television and now 'Sony Ent
