Team Fortress is a team-based (obviously) First person shooter game made by the Valve Corporation for the PC, XBOX, and PS3 consoles. Its unique art style and team based gameplay have won it numerous awards, including PC Gamers’ most fun game of the Year Award. In the game, the player can choose from a selection of 9 different classes of Mercenary, who are being hired by two corporations called RED and BLU in an endless war against each other(the teams names count towards their colour) in a variety of different environments(snow, mountains etc.).
In Part 2/3 of this Team Fortress 2 Classes Explanation, Jason will be explaining the roles of the Demoman and the Heavy, in incredible detail!

The Demoman
The Demoman: The Demoman is a black Scottish Cyclops of destruction who is fittingly armed with a variety of explosives, his Grenade Launcher which shoots grenades which explode upon direct impact with an enemy or drop to the floor and detonate after 2 seconds, and his feared sticky bomb launcher, with which he can shoot said sticky bombs into various locations and detonate them at will. These explosives make him an extremely versatile offensive and defensive character, being able to launch sticky bombs at enemies and detonating them at their feet, and also being able to lay down entire fields of explosive mines at a strategic point to detonate at the appropriate time. His grenade launcher grenades bounce on walls, and are perfect for taking out an enemy who is hiding around a corner. A skilled Demoman can aim his grenades so they hit the enemy and explode upon direct impact, as well as “Stickybomb jump”, an idea similar to Rocket Jumping but requiring somewhat more finesse. The Demoman is the character with the most melee weapons available in his loadout, possessing a variety of swords, axes, and most fearfully, a grenade on a stick. His default weapon is an empty glass bottle.

The Heavy
The Heavy: The Heavy is the team’s main powerhouse with his hulking form, staggering amount of health, and a minigun with an impressive ammo pool. While the Scout is a nimble, surgical striking, small flash streaking through the battlefield, the Heavy is the exact opposite; a massive, slow beast who can lay down a hail of bullets in the space of a few short milliseconds who is usually seen leading his teammates into the fray or defending important areas of interest. Heavies possess a minigun with 200 rounds with a decent firing rate. A single heavy can mow down hordes of other classes provided he is in good health condition; this killing capability can only be further increased when paired with a Medic. Heavies can win the game for the team; a strong holdout area by the defending team can be obliterated with two heavies with sufficient support from Soldiers and/or Snipers. Even more dangerous is a heavy with a Medic; they can be overhealed to 150% of their original health, which is a whopping 450 hp. This enables him to take incredible amounts of damage which is only furthered by the Medic’s constant healing of damaged HP. A Medic can also Ubercharge (more on that later) a Heavy, turning this already destructive powerhouse into an INVINCIBLE walking tank for a few critical seconds; a Heavy in this state can lay waste to entire armies. However, the Heavy is not without his weaknesses. His large form renders him incredibly vulnerable to backstabs from the Spy (which are lethal) and his slow speed and massive head makes him an easy target for Snipers on the hunt. Heavies may also unlock a Sandvich (Not a misspelling, the Heavy is Russian) to heal their health should a medic not be around.
In the final part of Jason's massive saga of explanations, there will be five helpings of descriptions- the Engineer, Sentry Gun, Dispenser and Teleporter, coming soon to Filmflux.net!
