About one month later, the head, Matt140, resigned secretly, or left with the dead site, either way I'm not sure- and left us leaderless. One by one, people started dropping out of the project. Our YouTube channel began gathering hate and whining noobs which were impatient for a full release.
Being a sympathetic guy, I decided to carry on development on my own, managing to retrieve the source from an offline svn depository I had in a hidden folder on my computer. So, I started tinkering and devloping, and the game began to progress through the versions, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04 and 0.05.
Shortly after I had completed work on 0.06, I quickly made a video to showcase 0.05 (The latest publicly known development in the game.) and shut down my Windows computer, exhausted.
The next day, I turn on my computer and hear a horrible noise. The hard drive had physically scratched itself. According to my local computer store, the lever had malfunctioned and dropped onto the spinning platter, or whatever that meant. Bottom line= data unrecoverable.
Luckily, I had a backup! Bad news was, it was a backup of an old version. Around this time, I began contacting "dabr1dg3" on YouTube, the programmer for Pokémon Cursed Black, citing real disheartening and distress when I finally knew the project wasn't going to work. This was last month.
I continued to develop 0.03 as much as I could, but obviously didn't really get anywhere, thanks to whining noobs claiming they can do better jobs when, in fact, they haven't.
Thusly, I have decided to shelve the project and mothball development. When the Pokémon Cursed Black version is released, "dabr1dg3" has assured me that I can jump ship and begin helping him develop his game. I will make sure to put a word in so that the developers of the original team should not be named as eligible for the development team, to help him from becoming disheartened when they leave. Apart from Kiekoes. He "kinda" tried to get the project to work after these disasters, but in the end, he left too. I don't blame him, though.
Thank you truly for your support over these months, people that gave a damn. You truly are awesome, and thanks for helping me. You guys are really, really cool. I can't stress that enough!
You can download 0.01 here, if you want.
EDIT: [18.10.11] PCB have released 0.05, downloadable HERE when it comes online. There will be no further updates from them in the future, unless arrangements and prior contact has been made. Anyone interested in the .ips, .gba and source files, please make yourself known on forums here. Thanks. 0.05 is a DEMO patch, though FINAL; and henceforth it contains only part of the final game. Patch 0.01 is most likely the closest to the original story's first section, and Patch 0.05 is the "closest" to the original story's second section.
Yours,
