Popular, fun and exciting, the turn-based RPG Rainbow Moon will be bounding onto the PlayStation Vita's glorious OLED screen as soon as 'next year', publisher eastasiasoft has announced.
The wildly popular RPG, which claimed the spot of 'highest-selling game on PS Store' in July charmed and challenged punters with its cute graphics, combat system and dungeons.
Capcom's served up a tasty-looking dish with its new collectible set of 10 Megaman soundtrack discs, stuffed in a trusty E-Tank tin. All the tunes from Megaman to Megaman 10 are included in the pack, and there isn't any annoying DRM, meaning that you can rip 'em and keep 'em on your iPod. Or something. To be honest, this would only provide sentimental value if I bought it, but I'm sure somebody else would enjoy buying these (and at the price it's going for I can't think of anyone who would.)
It's yours for a cool 14,700 Yen or £115 today from Capcom's store, anyway.
Sony's been found out! Submitting its designs for the 16GB CECH-4011A, 250GB CECH-4011B and 500GB CECH-4011C designs, each serial numbers for its new PlayStation 3 redesign to ANATEL, Brazil's FCC was a bad idea — Sony might have just Osborned itself
Good news? If you can hold out a bit more for a possibly cheaper, possibly slimmer PS3, go for it. I mean, it's not like Sony can remove any more from PlayStation that it already has. *Cough* OtherOS, PS2 capability *Cough*

OUYA, the Tegra 3-sporting, Android 4.0-running, £60 games console has smashed indie funding website Kickstarter's records for reaching monetary goals, taking just 8 hours to reach its goal of $950,000... then, in two days, and nearly a month from its finishing date, it's ploughed through that barrier and gone on to raise over $4.1 million. Julie Uhrman, head of the OUYA project, said "Until this week, a lot of people thought we were crazy. Some still do. THANK YOU to all those who are backing us: we are focused on delivering for you." It'll be interesting to see how they do that, and how they spend their current (and still growing) pot of $4.1 million. Here in the UK, I think I'm going to wait until they've actually got a finished product, and until the hype dies down. -Chris Source: Ouya.tv
The £60/$99 Android 4.0-based, Tegra 3-sporting gaming hub-cum-media centre has hit the shores of Kickstarter as of today. The brand new listing comes with a lovely new video showcasing the whole kaboodle! A swanky new controller designed by Yves Behar is also shown, and in my opinion, the prototype UI looks a bit like a cross between the Xbox Kinect Dashboard and PS3's XMB. Kickstarter, the funding website similar to Indiegogo in the form of 'backers get perks' has already reached $869,000 of its $950,000 funding goal...with 29 days to go!
This thing is going to be a hit, and I'll certainly get one. This is a revolution in the console industry. Ou-ya! :D -Chris
Just Cause 2- that's lovely. Multiplayer? That's also pretty swell. Both? Wow, that's just... when can I get it!? What, the beta mod? Oh, right- here. What else? It works with Steam. It's a mod, and for a beta, it's pretty impressive- there seems to be practically no lag!
This sexy little piece of kit is the console concept. A listing on startup funding website AngelList has garnered quite a lot of attention in this past week with a 'fully hackable', open source Android-based games console which will provide free-to-play games and lots more! Yves Behar, the guy behind the OLPC has also been roped into the Ouya project, and if it comes to fruition, it could provide so many gamers and enthusiasts with: 1) A cheap Android entertainment centre 2) A way of playing Android games, (and possibly, due to our speculation and the cheapness of the Tegra 3 chipset) and TegraZone games, too, as well as a host of free-to-play games.
Obviously Ouya has a lot open to speculation, as it has so little info available, but for a sub-$100 box with names such as Yves Behar (designer), Ed Fries (former Microsoft VP and co-founder of Xbox) and Julie Uhrman (Former IGN head of digital distribution), I can only see good in this project.
Oh, and did I mention- their devkits will be free?

Buffy's coming! No, not that one. According to the New York Times, Facebook employees have informed them that the firm plans to launch their own Facebook-branded smartphone in collaboration with HTC, a number of old Apple guys who worked on the iPhone/Pad.
The employees, who communicated with the Times under the condition of anonymity, revealed that Zuckerberg was 'worried that if he didn't create a mobile phone in the near future that Facebook [would] simply become an app on other mobile platforms,' ,which has already happened.
