For those of you who have preordered Diablo III and are holding the copy in your fists clenched tightly, you will be glad to know that the servers go up in five and a half hours! You most likely can't wait, because neither can I.
I, Jason, will be playing the game and will hopefully be trying to stay alive in the slew of demons that are sure to besiege my character.
What fresh horrors await us in New Tristram?
Will we visit the Upper Levels of Hell once more?
Is Diablo truly dead?
Get ready, Heroes of Sanctuary...

Shock horror! Nintendo of Japan has officially announced that production for its newest three-dimensional handheld will cease production shortly, according to Nintendo's hardware page. Yes, that japanese text above indeed says something along those lines.
If you love Aqua Blue as a colour or have OCD, then you'd better get to the shops quickly, as whilst there isn't any word for discontinuing the colour in the EMEA and NA regions yet. For those with fetishes concerning the colour blue, don't worry- the sexy Cobalt Blue 3DS will still be in production!

Microsoft have just announced that its upcoming Windows OS, Windows 8, will not play DVDs out-of-the-box, citing that only 6% of Windows 7 users ever used Windows Media Center, its media centre hub.
It claims that the removal of DVD playback will ensure that it (Microsoft) will not have to spend 'a significant amount in royalties', i.e decoder licensing.
Microsoft cite the 'ever-changing landscape' of computing as a reason to canning DVD support, with Windows 8 having compatibility with tablets and ultrabooks, which themselves lack optical drives. Media Center and DVD support will be available for a fee via Windows Control Panel (Formerly Anytime Upgrade) in Windows 8, but I think the choice of omitting such ubiquitous technology is a good idea- if DVDs are going the way of the dodo, then I'll be happy to pay a tenner less for some quality software.
It's official. Dragon Quest X has just been slated for a release on the 2nd of August 2012... in Japan. (A Thursday) And it is odd. The 'standalone copy' of the game, according to Andriasang, will require a 16GB or greater USB memory stick to...work. 0.o
As seen with Capcom's Monster Hunter Tri, in Japan, which charged $20 for 90 days' play online, Dragon Quest X will require a fee to play online. Pretty much standard practice in a country which is full of DQ nuts, which could cause the DQX servers to overload unless a fee is required. I expect that Square Enix will waive the fee in NA and EMEA regions, when it is released, going the Capcom way without alienating western gamers.
A Japanese launch date can only mean one thing- Dragon Quest X isn't far from hitting UK soil- it may be a couple of months to a year to see it grace our Wii consoles- but those with modded ones *Cough* us *cough* may get the japanese version a little bit early to toy around with! :D

Before Filmflux goes into hibernation for a week or two, I thought I would post my review of the Playstation Vita. Enjoy...There are some questions for which many answers can be given. Is there a God? What is love? Why didn’t they ride the eagles into Mordor? One I like to ask people is, when you hear ‘Sony’ what do you think? Of course you will have fanboys whom reply with ‘Better than Microsoft’, then you get your average Joe ‘Blu Ray discs’ and then there are quite a large group of people who will say ‘$$$’. Yes, I am referring to the ancient tradition of costly Sony products.
WARNING: Very different to my usual posts. ANOTHER WARNING: SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!
Dare you go further? This article is light-hearted so don't take it too seriously...
