Not knowing anything at all about the Captain America franchise (apart from the nice shiny shield which I saw in the trailer) prior to watching the First Avenger movie I didn’t know any of the story before hand and the trailer didn’t appear to be anything special. Despite this, the film was outstanding.

Team Fortress 2, also known as "TF2"
Team Fortress is a team-based (obviously) First person shooter game made by the Valve Corporation for the PC, XBOX, and PS3 consoles. Its unique art style and team based gameplay have won it numerous awards, including PC Gamers’ most fun game of the Year Award.  In the game, the player can choose from a selection of 9 different classes of Mercenary, who are being hired by two corporations called RED and BLU in an endless war against each other(the teams names count towards their colour) in a variety of different environments(snow, mountains etc.).

There was a lot of hype around the original Assassin’s Creed and so naturally I went out to buy it. The premise was very good but not as well executed as it could have been. It also seemed to get very repetitive with a list of people to assassinate. So when the second instalment was released, I wasn’t in such a hurry to buy it. Then earlier this year I found myself in a game store with a few pounds to spend and I saw it sitting there on the shelf. I decided I would give the series another chance. And I am so glad I did. This game is brilliant. Ubisoft took what worked from the first game, fixed up all the other stuff and crammed in hundreds of new features.

There wasn’t anything major going on at the San Diego Comic-Con this year, however there were some special appearances from Steve Spielberg and Peter Jackson to promote their upcoming animated movie adaption of ‘The Adventures of Tintin’. Also after many rumours, Spielberg officially confirmed Jurassic Park 4.

A trailer was shown for the short film ‘Assassin’s Creed; Embers’ which revolves around Ezio as an old man, worried of his family’s safety. This is due to be released at around the same time as ‘Revelations’ and will be included in some editions of the game.

There was also a trailer for Paranormal Activity 3 which will be released in October of this year. The trailer featured home video footage of two little girls. Later on they both looked into a mirror with the lights off and spoke ‘Bloody Mary’ three times. One of the girls scares the other with a torch, revealing it was just the set up for her prank but when the two girls leave the room, they leave the camera on and a sinister figure can be seen in the shadows.

Hi guys, sorry if the title got your hopes up (you may now be realising that this post does not actually contain much awesomeness at all) but this is really just to say that we here at Filmflux.net are going to continue to post as much as we can over the next couple of months to keep you up to date on the latest news, reviews etc. Expect to see at least a small bit of coverage from Comic Con and we'll try to add many fun extras on the blog.
I know I got behind on my posts but now that 'Layers' is completed, I will have lots of delicious time on my hands.
Also make sure you check out all the most recent things we have been putting up such as the 'TARDIS vs DeLorean' and 'Infamous vs Prototype' articles.
I myself plan to go through and replay several of my older games to do some reviews (better late than never right?) and I have other cool stuff lined up so remember to keep checking back here as often as you can!

Yesterday, Capcom pulled the plug on its fan-backed monster of a game, Megaman Legends 3 for the Nintendo 3DS.
Capcom did not ask participants at their Devroom, nor did they give any notice to the project's closure. Being a company living purely for profit, they must have decided MML3 was no longer profitable, and closed it down.

Capcom asks for us to "accept our [Capcom's] sincere apology for failing to meet the expectations of the fans". I suppose all we can do is accept their apology, and shuffle back into the shadows.

The FAQ, taken directly from Capcom-Unity's Devroom, is below. Click "Read More" to read it.

Bioshock is an action-adventure and horror First Person Shooter in an underwater dystopian setting, made by Irrational Games, formerly known as 2K Boston. In the game(which was developed for XBOX 360, PS3, PC), the player is encouraged to use everything they see in the highly detailed and interactive environment of Rapture(more on Rapture later) to dispatch their enemies. The game also features a variety of choices that are tailored specifically to challenge the players moral views; are they sentimental players who care about the virtual situation, or are they players that see the game as it is(that is to say, fictional), and simply seek the rewards from seeking the morally wrong path(s)? The game was very positively received by critics in the year of its release, winning the "Game of the Year for PC 2007".

McGrath vs Mercer in Alex's Infamous vs Prototype Showdown!
What with the recent release of Infamous 2, and the expectations of playing the new Prototype game next year, we can expect the war between these two exceptional franchises to continue. Not only were the debut games’ release dates a month apart, but they’re both sandbox-style action titles giving you control over the abilities of a newly transformed, super-powered grunt in your hands!

Countless comparisons have been made between the first in each series (most humourously, Yahtzee’s Zero Punctuation video) and the dispute will never truly be settled, as it is an opinionated matter. However, there are facts that make one game superior to the other in different respects. It’s your choice to decide how important each of these ‘respects’ is! So I bring you, Cole McGrath vs. Alex Mercer, Sucker Punch vs. Radical Entertainment, high-voltage sphere-hunting delivery boy vs. body-morphing, mystified, hoodie-wearing death machine – the ultimate comparison!
